1. Can there be more than one internship per country?
Yes, there can. The idea is to try to maintain a balance so as to contemplate as many countries as possible. We should also have to consider the relevance of proposals.
2. Can an internship be from an incubated business to an incubator in a foreign country instead of being an incubated business that visits another incubated business?
Yes, but nevertheless this must be duly justified in the proposal and the tribunal will make a final decision. You must provide a rationale as to why you wish to visit the incubator.
3. Is there a list of incubators that can be accessed, link or file where the databases of incubators or incubator associations that can be part of this program are to be found?
We have already published a list of links of some business incubators under the button for "CANDIDATES". You are to surf the net and obtain the necessary information before choosing the destination of your internship. Some of the candidates are included in the list, but not all of them, those interested in this information must search, research, contact the counterparts. This list features only some of the business incubators that are affiliated to RedLac/Relapi (necessary condition), but there are many more.
4. Can more than one person go?
Yes, only if this has been taken into account when preparing the budget. In any case, the reason must be duly justified.
5. What is the meaning of internship in this case?
It means an exchange of experiences and knowledge for a given period of time.
6. Does it include transportation expenses during the stay in the foreign country?
No, reimbursable expenses only cover tickets to and from the country of internship plus accommodation in that country.
7. Can one go to two different destinations?
Yes, only if this is covered by the budget. In any case, the reason must be duly justified.
8. In case of approving an internship, does INGENIO issue a letter of commitment relative to reimbursing resources?
Yes, should you be selected and upon your request, provided commitments and deadlines stipulated in the Rules and Regulations are met.
9. If an entrepreneur comes to visit our business incubator / company should we bear his/her expenses relative to trip, transportation and meals, etc.?
The World Bank InfoDev Program funds return tickets and accommodation up to US$2,000. Should expenses exceed such amount, the interns themselves should pay from their own personal resources.
10. If, for example, we apply to visit an incubator in a foreign country, does it mean that we necessarily have to receive someone from that same country in our incubator?
Not necessarily. Requests are absolutely independent from one another. The only condition is that at the time of applying you should accept receiving someone as intern in your incubator or company, if the latter were selected. It may be the case that someone from your country is selected to do an internship in another country and that none of the other candidates selected wishes to the internship in your country (or the other way around).
